Samsung seems to have preplanned to grab more market share in India. Samsung is more focused on the mid-range smartphone segment. As per reports, Samsung is planning to launch four new smartphones under its Galaxy J series in May 2018. The reports also showcase that the upcoming devices from Samsung, which are expected to get launched on May 21, will be manufactured in India, at its Noida facility.
Samsung Galaxy J Series Smartphones being Launched:
The latest smartphones of Galaxy J series is targetting the millennials. The smartphone to be released will come be having Infinity Display with thinner bezels around the screen. According to the sources from the company, South Korea-based Samsung has been planning to provide immersive viewing experience within the budget price point.
The Infinity Display was first brought into the Galaxy S8 series which are the high-end smartphones and also available on the company’s latest flagship devices — Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S9 series. A similar display is also available on the Galaxy A8 Plus.
Though the devices are said to be the part of “Make In India” initiative. So the smartphones are also expected to come with features targeted towards the Indian users, with preloaded features such as “S Bike” mode. Furthermore, the smartphones are expected to come with Turbo Speed technology as well as Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode. The upcoming smartphones are also expected to have dual camera setup at the rear side of them.
Galaxy J Series:
Samsung just had launched Galaxy J 2 (2018) and Galaxy J7 Duo. The Samsung J7 Duo is priced at Rs. 16,990 which converts approximately $253 and NRS 27184. The Galaxy J 2 2018 is priced at Rs. 8,190, which converts to $122 and NRS 13107.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo features a 5.5-inch S-AMOLED screen. The display of the smartphone offers HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Exynos 7 series processor which is an octa-core CPU, coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is a support for microSD card of up to 256GB. The smartphone comes with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out of the box. Besides that, it is also loaded with Bixby Home feature, Samsung’s own Virtual AI. The device is backed up by a 3,000mAh battery.
Galaxy J6 2018
Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) features a pre-installed application known as Samsung Mall which is focused on shopping. The application features include ‘Visual Search’ which provides search results based on a product picture which may be clicked or uploaded from the smartphone gallery. The phone sports a 5-inch qHD screen. It is also powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon quad-core Soc. The smartphone comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The smartphone has got Android Nougat operating system out of the box. There is no any word about the Android Oreo update. The device is backed up by a 2,600mAh battery.
