When iPhone came up with its smartphone in the early 2000s, everyone who were using Symbian and Blackberry, the trending innovation of that time started switching to iPhone. The first generation of Apple Phone was nowhere comparable to then Symbian and Blackberry. The Symbian phones were perfect multimedia phones while Blackberry was the perfect productivity device. But there has been a recent war between iPhone vs Android.
iPhone vs Android
The king of the market of that time Nokia and Blackberry never assumed the perspective of i Phone and their users. They were just selling whatever was trending and didn’t plan for anything new. This is where they became wrong and Apple took the market share. As of now, both the companies are nowhere even nearby to Apple in the smartphone market.
At first, Apple got so much attention in the market and had almost created the monopoly in the smartphone business. It was two years later after the launch of the first Phone when Android first came into the market. The first Android-powered smartphones were HTC Dream or T-Mobile G1 in the United States. The smartphone had combined key elements from the User Interface if IOS, Productivity of Blackberry and Multimedia experience of Symbian. At that moment of time, Android was far more versatile than IOS.
There have so much of innovations on both the platform since then, but the initial war of both the platforms are same. One can easily notice the Versatility of Android and the refined and streamlined feature of IOS. Whether you people know or not but very few days of usage of iPhone made me miss Android for 2 obvious reasons. I still find these two advantages of Android over IOS.
iPhone vs Android war saga:
The first and one of the major Advantage of Android over IOS is the number of choices to choose from. Its a fact that Apple sells more devices than the previous year with every new device launched. But how many models does Apple has to choose from? As of now, there are eight models of iPhone to choose from, namely iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, and iPhone SE. Out of which four models: iPhone X, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, and iPhone SE has been stopped manufacturing by Apple from 2018. But they are about to add four more models to their list.
While on the other side, there are thousands upon hundreds of various Android phones out there in the market. And we’re not just saying about fewer new models and a list of previous-generation models. Google have started allowing another hardware manufacturer to license Android Operating System for free, as known to us, so there’s a number of models available to Android users.
While another feature which IOS has restricted is the number of developers publishing their App on store. Android has been the open platform for each and every developer who wants to showcase their creativity and develop something. While on the other hand, Apple has been making strict policies for developers.
So, these were two honorable mentions which I found out Apple users might be missing from Android. Do you think I missed something or I went wrong? Kindly do comment and let us know in the comments down below. We will surely be adding it to our next post.
